JAPAN FOUNDATION GALLERY

The Japan Foundation Gallery is dedicated to showing artwork with a connection to Japan. Exhibitions range from traditional to contemporary art and artisanal work, including printmaking, dyeing, photography, painting, ceramics, installations and more. Exhibitions are often accompanied by events such as public talks, film screenings and workshops. This gallery is run by The Japan Foundation, Sydney.

Getting there:
Train: The closest stop is Central Station (10 minutes’ walk).
Bus: The closest stop is Railway Square (less than 5 minutes’ walk)

Tips:
Access to Level 4 is via the lifts. Shops and restaurants in the building where the gallery is located are open until 8pm every day, so you can easily grab a bite to eat before or after the exhibition.

Accessibility:
Wheelchair accessible; induction loop available for talk events.

Gallery hours: Mon-Thurs: 10am-8pm; Fri: 10am-3pm; Select Sat: 10am-3pm; Closed Sundays & Public Holidays (Please check website for up-to-date schedule)
