"Sydney’s cultural and lifestyle retail destination, The Galeries, will showcase the very best of contemporary art with its annual Emerging Artist Exhibition in partnership with Art Month, Sydney from the 1st-30th June 2017.

The one-of-a-kind exhibition showcases and supports Australia’s next generation of art talent.

After initiating a public call out to the emerging artist community during Art Month Sydney in March 2017, five finalists have been hand-selected for the showcase by Art Month’s Artistic Director Barry Keldoulis.

The group encapsulates developing talent across a multitude of mediums featuring Robin Hearfield, Joanne Makas, Zac Harold, Hana Hoogedeure and Zoe Wong.

The Galeries will display each of the artists in one of its five designated public art spaces, the four laneways and the central atrium.

The up-coming talent, whose works range from sculpture, photography and installation will be exposed to the centre’s 1.8 million monthly visitors as they compete for the major prize, a $4,000 cash prize and a year-long mentorship with Barry Keldoulis."
