Contemporary Ceramics

The first Australian exhibition of Japanese ceramicists Ryota Aoki and Gentaro Yokoyama justifies the hype around these two acclaimed kogei-ka (master artisans). Aoki’s lava-like metallic and soft pastel glazes ooze from rough vessels and sleek tableware. With a playful edge, Yokoyama shows a frenzied passion for the medium, from expertly thrown and hand-built forms to suggestive slip-casts.

Date: 1 March - 7 April
Time: Opening night 6pm - 9pm. Monday to Friday, 10am - 6pm, with select Saturdays
